Nau mai, haere mai, and a very warm welcome to Lower Moutere School, a vibrant learning community nestled between the rural beauty of the Moutere Valley and the Mariri coastal region. 

As a school catering for children from Year 1 through to Year 8, we take immense pride in providing a "first-class" educational journey that supports our 200–230 students as they grow from their first days of school into confident young leaders. Our ten innovative learning spaces are led by a committed and passionate staff who balance a strong foundation in Reading, Writing, and Mathematics with rich, hands-on opportunities in the Arts, Sciences and Physical Education. 

We are truly spoilt for green space, with expansive, tree-enclosed fields that serve as a natural extension of our classrooms, fostering both competitive sport and creative play. 

Guided by our core value of Respect - for ourselves, for others and for our environment - we work in close partnership with our whānau and local marae to ensure every child feels a deep sense of belonging and identity.
